  • Sensitive Personal Data: We collect "Sensitive Data" including your Caste, Gotra, and precise Birth Details (time/place) specifically for calculating astrological compatibility (Guna Milap).

  • Media: Photos and videos used for your profile.

  • Precise Geolocation: We collect your exact location to verify profile authenticity and show nearby matches.

  • Usage Data: IP addresses and device IDs used for fraud prevention and security.

2. How We Use Your Data?

  • Matchmaking Algorithms: We use Automated Decision-Making Technology (ADMT) and AI-based algorithms to suggest compatible matches.

  • Verification: To ensure a safe community, we monitor user-generated content for abuse or fraud.

  • Communication: We may contact you via email or in-app notifications regarding security updates or account activity.

  • No Sale of Data: We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure.
We only share data with:

  • Service Providers: Secure partners - Google Firebase, Wix or AWS who host our database.

  • Law Enforcement: When legally required to comply with safety regulations or reporting obligations.

4. Your Rights & Control.
You have the right to:

  • Access & Portability: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.

  • Correction: Update or fix any inaccurate biodata.

  • Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): Request permanent deletion of your account. We process these requests within 30 days.

  • Opt-Out: You may opt-out of automated profiling, though this will disable the matchmaking feature.

5. Data Security & Retention.
We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect your data. We retain your data only as long as your account is active. When you delete your profile, sensitive data is purged from our active systems after 30 days.

6. Child Safety & CSAE Prevention.
Cosmic Match is strictly for users aged 18+. We maintain a Zero-Tolerance Policy toward Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We use automated tools to detect prohibited content and will report any violations to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by federal law.
